Topic: Black History Thru Music

Hello Rhymes Media Group Fam. This a RMG News Report analyzing the US attack on Syria. Here's an artice from TeleSur English's website: "The U.S. and the West blame Syrian President Bashar Assad for the recent chemical attack while the government and its ally Russia deny the allegation.

The United States launched attacks against the Syrian army Wednesday evening in response to the recent chemical attack that killed 70 people in Syria, which Washington and most Western countries blame on the government of Bashar Assad. Some 59 Tomahawk missiles were launched from U.S. Navy warships in the Mediterranean Sea, a U.S. official told Reuters speaking on condition of anonymity. A target was identified as an airbase in Homs, Syria."

Listen to the clear and passionate analysis of this act of US aggression by Dr. Rhymes. See you there, see you then.

On this past Thursday, we had a special edition of Rhymes Reasons (March 23rd) at 7 PM CST/8 PM EST and we had as our guest, none other than, the world renown, anti-Zionist scholar, Norman Finkelstein. Dr. Finkelstein is an American political scientist, activist, professor, and author. His primary fields of research are the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the politics of the Holocaust, an interest motivated by the experiences of his parents who were Jewish Holocaust survivors.

While Norman Finkelstein is no stranger to controversy, his work shows that he is no stranger to justice either. He is the author of ten books that have been translated into 50 foreign editions, which include Image and Reality of the Israel-Palestine Conflict (1995), The Holocaust Industry: Reflections on the exploitation of Jewish suffering (2000), Beyond Chutzpah: On the misuse of Antisemitism and the abuse of history (2005) and "This Time We Went Too Far": Truth and consequences of the Gaza invasion (2010).

It was a wonderful talk between two grizzled war veterans for justice. We discussed issues such as Israeli imperialism, the occupation of the West Bank, the blockade of Gaza, the BDS movement and much, much more. Listen to this broadcast and I guarantee you will come away greatly impressed with the work, and life, of Dr. Normal Finkelstein.

It's #IndependentMediaMonday on Rhymes Media Group and we have a great guest. Dr. Dady Chery is a Haitian-born journalist, playwright, essayist, and poet who has traveled throughout the world. Her broad interests encompass science, culture and human rights. She writes extensively about Haiti and world issues such as climate change.

She is also the Co-Editor in Chief of News Junkie Post.

Dady is also the author of the compelling book We Have Dared to Be Free: Haiti's Struggle Against Occupation. Chery's articles have been republished by Alternet, Z Communications, Synthesis/Regeneration Magazine, WikiLeaks Party, San Francisco Bay View, Black Agenda Report, Popular Resistance, Haiti Liberte, Buzzflash, Canada Haiti Action Network, Climate &Capitalism, Haiti Chery, OpEd News, Venezuela Analysis, and GlobalResearch Canada. Her articles have been translated into French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Japanese.

Find something heavy and grounded to hold on to Rhymes Reasons Fam, because we have a force of nature joining us today (March 10th) at 1PM CST. That person is Jane Elliot the legendary, veteran anti-racism educator. Jane is internationally known teacher, lecturer, cultural proficiency specialist, and recipient of the National Mental Health Association Award for Excellence in Education.

Elliott was featured by Peter Jennings on ABC as "Person of the Week" on April 24, 1992. She is listed on the timeline of 30 notable educators by textbook editor McGraw-Hill along with Confucius, Plato, Booker T. Washington, and Maria Montessori. She has been invited to speak at 350 colleges and universities and has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show five times.

In November 2016, Elliott's name was added to the BBC's annual list of 100 Women.

Hello Rhymes Reasons Fam. Thursday, March 9th at 7PM CST, Dr. Rhymes will be interviewing Margaret Kimberley, Editor & Senior Columnist of the Black Agenda Report. Margaret has been a part of UNAC (United National Antiwar Coalition); she has been a guest on PressTV, Sputnik, the Green News Network and many other media outlets.

We'll be discussing Margaret's latest work from her Freedom Rider column on the Black Agenda Report - as well as her work on her Freedom Rider blog.

Be sure to tune-in to hear purposeful conversation and dynamic dialogue.

Listen to this heartbreaking, yet triumphant, Rhymes Reasons broadcast from Wednesday, February 22nd. Rhymes Media Group brought coverage from various Feet To Fire Campaigns from across the country. Hear the personal stories of loss and tragedy from those who have lost loved ones to police violence and have yet to receive justice.
